Shane Arrington, MHA, BMSc, CNMT
Core Service Director of Nuclear Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
As Enterprise Director of Nuclear Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Shane works closely with physician partners to implement strategic development of service lines and oversee nuclear medicine and MR imaging operations across Emory Healthcare. Shane comes to his position with 28 years of healthcare experience, and nearly 22 years as a nuclear medicine technologist. He has vast experience in general nuclear medicine, cardiac imaging, and PET/CT, along with his work in clinical education and research.
Shane joined Emory Healthcare as cardiac imaging manager in 2019, and worked to expand access, modernize equipment, and cultivate a patient-centered atmosphere among team members. Most recently, Shane has served as the director of imaging services for Emory University Hospital Midtown and Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown. During his time in this role, he oversaw significant growth and expansion of the Emory Midtown imaging platform with the addition of the newly opened Winship at Emory Midtown facilities.
Shane graduated with his bachelor of medical science degree in radiology administration from Emory University School of Medicine, and earned his master’s degree in health care administration from Queens University of Charlotte, NC. Shane is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Association of Medical Imaging Management. He graduated from the Emory Radiology Leadership Academy (RLA) in 2023.
