Danika Baskar, MD
Danika is a first-year resident especially interested in pediatric radiology and musculoskeletal imaging.
She says, "I chose Emory Radiology because the program provides a unique learning environment at the intersection of an outstanding education in diagnostic radiology and exposure to a broad range of patient care experiences. Being able to work alongside renowned faculty at the forefront of innovation in a program where creating a strong educational experience is balanced with prioritizing resident wellness makes for a wonderful culture of support throughout training. Also, Atlanta is a fantastic city to train in with everything you could want available during all seasons!."
Danika aspires to a career in academic radiology focused on innovation, research as well as student/trainee mentorship.
Danika earned her MD from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutgers University. She earned her undergraduate degree in international studies with a concentration on global health at Case Western Reserve University.
Danika played competitive tennis growing up and still enjoys a good match. She also loves traveling and taking one solo international trip each year. She also enjoys making floral arrangements, photography, staying physically active and enjoying the food craft coffee and pastry scene wherever she is.
