Bechel, MD, PhD

Bechel hails from Beavercreek, Ohio and earned an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from The Ohio State University. Bechel then graduated from Northwestern University with both an MD and a PhD in biomedical engineering. Now in the second year of diagnostic radiology residency in the Research Track, Bechel is planning on fellowship training in pediatric imaging with interests in congenital heart disease, radiology informatics, and workflow optimization.
Bechel appreciates Emory because it's the "only place in the country that offers a robust research track and many faculty with the expertiese in health services research. Combine that with the clinical breadth of both Grady Hospital and Emory University Hospital and Emory has everything I could ask for in a residency."
Beyond Emory, Bechel enjoys hiking, tabletop games, and baking.
