Core Service Director of Breast Imaging
As Core Service Director of Breast Imaging, Charnaye has operational oversight of breast imaging operations and works closely with Dr. Chris Ho, Director of the Division of Breast Imaging, to implement strategic development across the enterprise. Charnaye brings a wealth of experience as an imaging leader, boasting an impressive 28-year journey in the field. Her expertise spans the construction and management of high-performing radiology teams including radiology central scheduling, imaging analytics, and radiology imaging workflow specialists. She possesses specialized knowledge and training in breast imaging and is committed to the highest standards of patient care.
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Charnaye joined Emory Healthcare in March 2019 as Manager of Breast Imaging at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. Her leadership acumen and strategic insights elevated her to the position of interim director of imaging at Emory Saint Joseph’s in August 2022.
In recognition of her impact as a leader, Charnaye was honored with the quarterly Emory Healthcare Leadership Award in August 2023. Charnaye earned a master's of healthcare administration and public health degree in 2023 from Pfeiffer University. She graduated from the Emory Radiology Leadership Academy in 2022 and Leadership at Sandy Spring in 2023. Committed to women's empowerment, Charnaye has been an active member and co-chair of the Women's Council for the Maya Angelou Foundation since 2019. Charnaye plans to start a PhD program in 2024/2025 and remains dedicated to growth, leadership, and excellence.
