Maxwell Cooper MD, MS

Maxwell is a fourth-year resident in the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) program and is pursuing the Medical Innovation Track.
With clinical interests in interventional radiology, interventional oncology, musculoskeletal interventions and venous interventions, Maxwell is headed to an interventional radiology fellowship at Northwestern University in preparation for a career in academic IR.
In praise of his Emory training, Maxwell says, "Emory provides the combination of high clinical volume and diverse complex pathology across a diverse set of patient populations at hospitals across Atlanta. Specifically, the interventional radiology experience provides exposure to a wide variety of procedures, including oncology, portal hypertension, venous interventions, and musculoskeletal interventions. Emory Radiology also provides residents with resources to pursue their interests outside of clinical work, including research and innovation."
Mawell earned his MD from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Prior to that, he earned an MS in physiology from Case Western Reserve University, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry.
Outside of IR, Maxwell enjoys golf, tennis, podcasting (listen to The DaVinci Hour wherever you get your podcasts) and entrepreneurship.
