Dana Tomlinson, MS, BBA, RT(R)(T)(CT)(ARRT)
Core Service Director of Computed Tomography Imaging
As Core Service Director of CT Imaging for Emory Healthcare, Dana has operational oversight of CT imaging across locations. Her professional experience spans 22 years in health care, all of which have been dedicated to radiology. Dana began her radiology career at Athens Piedmont Hospital (formerly Athens Regional Medical Center) in 2002 as an x-ray technologist. She transitioned into the role of radiation therapist in 2006 after earning certification in radiation therapy. In 2008, she left Athens and joined Emory Johns Creek Hospital as an x-ray technologist.
Dana credits Emory for the support needed to get cross-trained and registered in CT. Over the years, Emory paved the way for Dana's professional growth. Her extensive clinical experience and deepening leadership skills led to her appointment as a CT Supervisor in 2016. Since 2019, she has served as radiology manager of the divisions of MR, Diagnostic, and CT imaging at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, where she manages all aspects of operations to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Dana graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration specializing in health care management from Capella University in 2015. Dana furthered this education by earning a master's degree in population health sciences from the University of Alabama in 2022.
Dana has been happily married for almost 20 years; her husband is a flag football coach. In her free time, she loves watching her daughter play soccer and flag football, assisting her son with his YouTube gaming channel, cuddling with her dog Mia, working out, and exploring trails. These all bring Dana joy, fulfillment, and a deep connection with her family and the world around her.
