Wesley Durrence, MD
Welsey Durrence is a Georgia native hailing from Glennville. He earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and his MD from Mercer University in Macon, GA. With clinical interests in quality improvement and rural health, Wesley says he plans to practice as a radiologist in rural, medically underserved Georgia where he hopes to incorporate new technologies and techniques learned while a resident at Emory to best serve his community.
Now in his second year, he says "Emory's radiology residency program provides exposure to a tremendous case mix and volume in a variety of clinical settings while maintaining a strong commitment to resident education. Emory’s residency tracks, service opportunities, and robust research opportunities provide incredible potential to broaden the horizons of a radiology career."
Outside of radiology, Wesley enjoys exploring nature trails in Atlanta, attending Georgia Tech athletic events as well as Atlanta Braves games, and playing piano.
