Justin Hendrix, MD
A native of Nashville, TN, Justin earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Memphis. He then earned his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine. His clinical interests include ultrasound, interventional oncology, and education, and his career goals include working in global health medicine with organizations like Road2IR and RAD-AID.
"My ultimate passion as a physician is to improve health disparities in underserved communities," he says. "The programs I sought were ones that embraced diversity while still cultivating and supporting residents in their professional growth. As an interventional radiology resident, I wanted to train in a program that would provide an equally strong education in both diagnostic and interventional radiology. Emory Radiology fit these criteria perfectly. The case quality and quantity here are invaluable to an early trainee and have been lauded by previous residents in preparing them for their early careers. With all that said, the friendly, down-to-earth collegiality between residents and faculty is ultimately what sold me to this program."
Outside of working and studying, Justin enjoys "just about anything active, from sports to outdoor activities." He also loves trying the endless number of cool Atlanta restaurants and just hanging out with friends.
