Larodus Carter, MHA, BMSc, CNMT
Core Service Director of Interventional Radiology
As Core Service Director of Interventional Radiology, Larodus works closely with Dr. J. David Prologo, Director of the Division of Interventional Radiology and Image-Guided Medicine, on an anbitious and exciting redesign of the service line. Larodus brings to this new position more than 16 years of operational and leadership experience in health care, over which he developed a reputation for building and coaching top-performing teams with a clear vision and a servant-leadership mentality.
Larodus began his career as a nuclear medicine technologist after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He found his passion for leadership while caring for underserved populations at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. After earning a master's degree in healthcare administration from Clayton State University, Larodus spent the next decade supporting large health-care organizations in Seattle, Washington and Sacramento, California with increasing scope of responsibility. He served as the area director of Imaging Services with Kaiser Permanente in the South Sacramento Service Area. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations and strategic growth and initiatives for the Imaging Services Department. He also was appointed regional co-chair and member of the Imaging Strategy Group for Northern California which encompasses 23 hospitals and over $1.1 billion in revenue.
In his spare time, Larodus enjoys spending time with his daughter Madison Isabella and all aspects of family life. He also enjoys hiking, reading, The Simpsons, and is an avid gamer.
