Hanssen Li, MD
Hanssen hails from Marietta, Georgia. After earning his undergraduate degree in computational biology from the University of Pennsylvania, he earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia.
Now in his fourth year of the Interventional Radiology - Integrated Residency program, Hanssen's focus is on both imaging informatics and interventional radiology. He appreciates Emory for "strong research and clinical experiences with wonderful teaching faculty." Along with co-resident Dr. John Moon, Hanssen received a 2023 Radiology Research Grant from the Society for Interventional Radiology for two different projects: one focused on the use of AI in structured reporting, and another on further developing bioelectronic ion-sensor integrated central venous catheters.
Away from Emory, he enjoys playing pickleball, tennis, and pickup basketball, as well as traveling and eating food.
