Carlos Jose Sanchez, Jr., MD, Chief Resident

Carlos is a Texan from Laredo and one of the Chief Residents of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency program. He completed undergraduate studies in biology at Texas A&M before earning his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
As Carlos looks toward graduation, he's planning to remain at Emory for a Body Imaging fellowship to further his focus on clinical imaging of infectious diseases and ob/gyn malignancies.
Carlos chose to train at Emory, he says, because of the outstanding culture and people, especially the faculty, administrating staff, and the educational mission. "It's an all-around great place to train."
Outside of work, Carlos enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his family, and learning about the state by visiting all the microbreweries.
