Tracy Powell, MSN, ANP-BC

In this leadership role, Tracy ensures alignment of the interventional radiology service team including schedulers, nurses, patient care coordinators, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers (APPs). She also partners closely with the IR physician leaders and providers to ensure seamless and outstanding interventional radiology and image-guided medicine for patients and their families across the Emory Healthcare system.
Tracy joined the department in 2010 and has devoted more than 23 years of her clinical career to Emory Healthcare. She was instrumental in developing the MRI interventional service line and establishing related policies and workflows. She was promoted to Chief APP in 2018. Under her leadership, the IR APP team has doubled in size and is thriving. She also has played an important role in expanding interventional radiology and image-guided medicine service lines to new locations including Emory Decatur Hospital. She will continue to lead the APP team in delivering exceptional patient care across the Emory Healthcare system.
Tracy is a proud member of the Radiology Leadership Academy Class of 2017 and successfully completed the EM-ProLead program in 2020.
Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband Michael, her two children Courtney and Morgan (both of whom are Emory Healthcare employees), granddaughter Samirah, and extended family.
