Vidya Sankar Viswanathan, MD
In his first year of residency, Vidya is eager to explore the various subspecialties within radiology and has yet to decide on his future plans. His research interests include imaging informatics and human-AI interaction within radiology.
During his research year at Emory University, Vidya fell in love with the institution for its supportive community, research opportunities, and high patient volumes across multiple hospitals, leading him to stay for his residency.
Vidya grew up across three cities in India, finally settling in Delhi and attending medical school at Delhi University. His passion for radiology was sparked during a research fellowship in a computational imaging lab, where he developed AI tools for cancer diagnosis using CT scans.
Outside of work, he enjoys photography, tennis, hiking, and cooking. A fan of WWII and courtroom drama movies, he welcomes any recommendations!
